Channels and Passages

With this new work, I have been thinking about impermanence and transition. We are in motion, always navigating shifting relationships, places, life phases. Some paintings focus on the channel itself and finding your way through it, sometimes awkwardly, sometimes readily. Other paintings are containers that try to hold on to a moment. But it's like catching a firefly and looking at it cupped in your hands before releasing it. This constant of change is marked with opportunity as we find our way. We strive for improvement and seek meaningful connection as we adapt to wherever the passage spits us out. Each work is a forged consonance amidst imperfection.
